The composition with quince, jojoba, apricot and avocado strengthens the skin. In the quince day cream, exquisite oils, waxes and medicinal plant essences complement each other to create a balanced composition based on nature.

DR.HAUSCHKA NATURAL COSMETICS

Once a pioneer, always a pioneer.

WALA Heilmittel GmbH has been developing natural preparations since 1935. At the beginning of its history, it was an avant-gardist and pioneer in a society that had little awareness of natural preparations. Quick technical solutions seemed to have replaced thinking in context. But not everywhere. The process developed by Rudolf Hauschka to produce natural medicines without preservative alcohol was enthusiastically received, particularly by anthroposophical doctors. The demand for his preparations encouraged Hauschka to found WALA in Ludwigsburg in 1935 and soon to open branches in Vienna and London. Following a ban by the National Socialists and the imprisonment of Dr. Hauschka and his future wife Dr. med. Margarethe Stavenhagen, WALA established itself in Bad Boll/Eckwälden from 1950 after several relocations. It is still at home there today.

Cosmetics as a nourishing supplement.

Rudolf Hauschka had long been thinking about his own cosmetic line to complement the range of medicinal products - an extension, so to speak, of the preparations for maintaining healthy skin. But it was only when he met Elisabeth Sigmund from Vienna, who ordered preparations from WALA for her self-developed cosmetic products, that his ideas took shape. The cosmetologist, who was living in Stockholm at the time, traveled to Eckwälden and worked with the pharmaceutical experts to develop formulations for facial care. Together they found solutions for cream bases that were stable without synthetic chemical emulsifiers and created fragrance blends with natural essential oils. The first products were launched on the market in 1967. In 1971, Elisabeth Sigmund trained the first Dr. Hauschka Esthetician.
